I totally agree with you. Its sad how many people are having babies that aren't ready for it. And how many babies grow up without both parents. I feel very proud to say that I was married before I had my kids.

You brought up a good point. I am 20 with 2 babies but i'm not a single momma. I think a lot of it is that girls today will sleep with just about anyone. They seem to only think about the present instead of the future. If I had even a small thought that my girls' father would run if I got pregnant, I would NOT have even slept with him. I was on birth control with both my kids so it's not like becoming pregnant was something that we had planned. We were just trying to have less of a chance with me getting pregnant. Obviously if you're having sex you're taking that chance. But there are so many young girls I see that whine and cry because their child's father leave them when they become pregnant. Do you know how many girls I now that are single moms? I have a friend thats a single mom. Her son's father has 4 other kids by 4 other differnet women. What gives her the right to cry about being single. Did she not see herself being a single mom? Can women not see that coming. I mean come on, a guy already has 3 kids with 3 different women, he didnt stay with any of them. What do these women think they have that makes them so special? I'm not bashing on single mom's but I totally agree with oyu. A lot of them are just plain stupid when it comes to commom sense. Do you think I would have been sleeping with my fiance if he already had 2 or 3 kids that each had a different mother? Hell no. I think if you are intersted in a guy that is a deadbeat dad, you should run the other way. If not, it's your own fault for getting pregnant in the first place. I think a lot of the reasons that young girls are becoming sinlge moms is partly due to their parents. Now my parents monitered me when I was younger. I decided to move out when I was 17 and it was my decision. My parents never once helped me with my children. Thats what my fiance and I are suppossed to do. A lot of these parents sit there and let their son/daughter stay overnight with their lover as early as 14. Those parents should be slapped. So I don't think you can just blame the mom and dad of the child, the grandparents are at fault too. They're at fault for not teaching their kids right from wrong.

Although I agree with most of what you said, the statement "Men, Stop ruining lives" should be reconsidered...Think of this...The thought of a "Romantic interlude" usually includes drinks of some kind (even if a bottle of wine), many men & women go to bars & clubs in hopes of finding a sex partner, women continue to drink (though they think just partying is ok) even when pregnant...Want to look at "ruining lives"? What about FAS/D = "Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder / Fetal Alcohol Syndrome? This is the #1 leading birth defect (Organic Brain Damage directly due to exposing unborn children to alcohol), #1 cause of Mental Retardation, #1 cause of Mental Disorders and a whole array of other #1 effects...

I agree with you and do think that today we think as having sex like we would hugging a person. It doesn't seem to matter to a lot of younger people that it is difficult to become a single parent. But as I do understand your frustrations, if you don't like the situation that you are in may I suggest that you try to educate safe sex to your younger patience.

I wonder the same thing. I can understand kids being stupid (I don't excuse them I just understand it) but some of these people are adults!
