I heard Ju-On (the original Japanese version of The Grudge) was pretty terrifying. Although it kind of depends on whether it's scary because of the plot, or because of the graphics. It also depends on one's personal fears. Like I'm petrified of Dawn of the Dead type stuff actually HAPPENING, but other people might have a higher fear of snakes or something.

For example: House of 1000 Corpses is the scariest thing in the planet if that were to ever actually happen. But it didn't look too real in many parts. But there's other movies out there, like House of the Dead which had decent graphics I guess, but had a lousy plot. (Although also scary if it were to happen).

bleh, all the slasher/horror flicks do nothing.

To me the scarier movies are the mind playing ones. 'Hostel' freaked me out when I saw it. The Stephen King movie 'The Darker Half' was pretty good as well.

When I was a kid, 'Gremlins' scared me so bad that I wouldnt sit on the couch because there was a gap behind it and i would stand 3 feet from my bed and jump on it to go to bed, because there was a space underneath it. I was 4 yrs old i think.. maybe 3.

I've only seen a handful of scary movies in my life, but the Japanese version of "The Eye" freaked me out for weeks. The ring was scary for me too, but according to other ppl its not scary at all

Jurassic Park. I watched it when I was like 5 and could not sleep for a week. To this day I am still afraid of dinosaurs.
