I hate this word. It should only be used to refer to kangaroo's or goats. The usage I hate is when it's used as a reference to a person of youth and/or inexperience, and in my opinion should have rules attached to it in order for it NOT to be taken as an insult. My rules are: that the "kid" must be at least 15 years younger than the person using the word. If a guy calls a girl (or vice versa) of the same age, "Kid," it's disrespectful and insulting. If a 25-year old, tells a 19-year old, "Oh, you're just a kid!" It's insults their intelligence because the age gap is not wide enough. If someone who is 60, says to a 30 year-old, "Hey, kid, how ya doing?" It's okay.
So, those are my thoughts on that horrible word.

they do what they want and can get away with it by making cute faces when confronted because they're a "kid" who doesn't know any better.the dumb&naive kid excuse won't really work as well if you're an over 21 kid:p
