Doesn't anyone who reads answers work? How can pantyhose or anything be hot, when you go to an air conditioned office that is usually so cold that you freeze Most offices have dress codes, and you have to wear some kind of hosiery anyway.

Most cars and public transportation is air conditioned, and you don't wear pantyhose to the beach or a soccer game, so why does everybody talk about the heat?

I wear stockings and a garter belt everyday, because I don't like wearing two pairs of underwear, and the stockings are way more comfortable and make me feel way more sexy, but I still get cold at work, and I live in the North East where it still gets to 90 or 95 degrees in summer.

I think that some kind of hosiery is always in order when dressing in heels and office or dress wear, and because everything is air conditioned that we do for dress up affairs, the heat is just a sloppy persons excuse.

I feel wearing pantyhose in the summer is dependent upon what the occasion is. Wearing pantyhose for professional engagement is preferable as to look more professional. However, if working outdoors or in an office without air conditioning then I feel it is convienent to not wear pantyhose.

I wear stockings, not pantyhose everyday in the summer and they are super comfortable. I can understand why women hate pantyhose, they are terrible compared to stockings, because of that nasty panty part, which most people don't need.

What confuses me is the too hot remarks. I work in a office, where the air conditioning is so cold you can't stand it without nylons. That is because all the men wear jackets and ties, and it is set for them. We women freeze. I have A/C in my car, and my apartment. If these women are working outside I could understand their concern. Everything you do is air conditioned except the beach and the ball park, and you don.t wear nylons to either one. Where do you get hot? Offices are freezing, restaurants and movies are cold, cars have A/C, even convertibles like mine. Where do you get hot?

I think you should look into stockings, they are so much better looking and practical. I wear them everyday to work, and even after, and yet when I used to wear pantyhose, I couldn't wait to get them off. I prefer the kind you wear with a garter belt, but you can also get hold ups, they just aren't as sheer as real stockings.

Pantyhose is EVIL. Avoid it at all costs. I hate wearing it when it's cold, forget the summer!

I wouldn't wear them unless I ABSOLUTELY had to. They are evil no matter what time of year they are worn. Actually they have the ones with the toes missing in the front so if you have to dress up, you can without looking like you have them on. I got a pair for my grandma and she loved it...but then again she's old school.
I never wear them...especially in the summer!!!
