What's so great about living in Athens, GA? Please tell me something about it.?

I know it's supposed to be a nice place, but why? Also, is it an affordable place to live?

It's a laid back college town, and it's not too far from Atlanta when you want to get back to civilization.

Not so bad. Lots of bars. Supposedly laid back. Like the biggest small town. Good music.

It's a big college town. Lots of parties, football, etc.
It depends on what you call affordable.
