It's all a matter of life experience. Some 20 year olds live on their own and pay their own way while working and going to school. Others had to "grow up" in a hurry at a young age after the early death of a parent or both parents, and find themselves at 20 years old able to take on more challenges than their peers. The examples are numerous. Simply being 20 years old does not make someone automatically mature.

I know 10 year olds that are mature. I know a lot more 30 year olds that still aren't mature. Depends on the person. Do you know this person well? Have you seen this person grow and change with time passing? That will tell you alot right there if the 20 year old in question is deemable "mature".

I would say no... for the most part, most people at 20 are still maturing, learning and growing a whole lot... there is still much more of life to see and experience at that young of an age. In two years of "legal" adulthood, there is a limited amount to what you can accomplish.... I would say 25 is a much more mature/stable age.

Depends on the person I would say. At 20 you are still very young and probably haven't experienced a lot of things in life. Taking care of your responsibilities is a sign of maturity. When I was 20 I was a little bit on the wild side and I honestly can't say I was really mature even though I paid bills and worked hard.

That depends. u can be 20 and still act like a 8yr old doing pranks and idle stuff. and u can be 40 and still do the same. Its the way u carry yourself and to respect others to gain the same. Acting like your mature and being mature are 2 differnt things. Which u do fit in?

I agree with blood... Age does not define maturity and this is why I get tired of my teenage children saying all day long..."I'm grown!" I tell them this! Grown in the dictionary is defined in the wrong way because it should say," When a person reaches financial, mental, emotional, spiritual, sexual responsibility, and independence, and psychological also...responsibility! This defines grown! And it takes many years to accomplish this."

age is really nothing but a number. you are determined mature by your actions and the amount of responsibility you are willing to take.
