I like the 'pebbles in a pond' theory. While you can't change what happened with the last stone, you can aim the next and following stones.(Work/study hard and choose your 'path' carefully). Thereby changing the future. As far as cards go, you may have been 'delt' certain conditions/situations, but you can make sure you do the best with what you've got. That'll take you far!!!

there's alot of ways to put that, like if you like music, think of it as a song, every beat comes together to form one, and the bad beats well they either scratch them out or just dont put them in. but somehow they manage to get in, but those arent music hits. I guess for me though there is no comparison this world can never be compared to music or cards, the good or bad. It's just how life is it can be fair, and sometimes not, it can push you down , but and the end you always have the choice to make it better. It will be hard but i guess you have to fight for what you want. I know like cards they say how each dif card is like every dif kind of person, but what happens if that card tears or if that cd breaks you can always buy another. i buy cards for a dollar at the store, you can never do that with a human being., cause the card cant love or work or even have a family, taking a risk in gambling is one thing its another when risking your life. I agree on the part in which this world has many different people, and i love that, but i guess when you see all the bad in it it gets harder to see the good. That's why instead of fighting each other we need to stay together. We all may be seperate in some way but we are together in life and as a team, it takes different people and dreams to make up this world, just use it for good.

life? well.. that's such a complex sense to describe...
i'd have to say that life is a flowing stream; it begins at a mountain (which was once a frozen load of ice), flows relentlessly, sometimes gently like a tiny stream other times forcefully like a turbulant river. sooner or later they all reach the water fall at the end which in turn leads either to a lake or the sea. it becomes one with the rest of the water that came before it (it's forefathers) and eventually, after hundreds, even millions of years...it will freeze up again and the circle will start anew.

Our life is a pre-determined script that has been created for each of us. There is no such thing as luck, coincidence or just chance. Their are an infinite amount of choices that we could make in life that would change the course of our life. There is no way that the entity which created this earth would allow us to make such decisions and leave it up to chance.
