My mother died when i was 2. My father remarried and I was introduced to his wife. I've always tried to be nice to her, even when she really is a *****. She blames me for everything, and i think that secretly she hates me. Why? What did i do to her? Why is she taking out all of her passive-aggresiveness on me?

Sounds to me like she is having a hard time accepting you. I have been a step-mom and sometimes it is hard. She may feel like you are "in the way" of hers and your father's relationship...you know, like she should come first. I would talk to your father about this and tell him how you feel. Maybe he can talk to her about it. In a situation like this, counseling is much needed. Why should resent a child who does not have a mother is beyond me. I cannot fathom why your father would choose to be with a woman that would not open her arms to you and give you what you need. I wish you the best of luck with this, sweetie. Sometimes people can be horrible. Just don't take it out on yourself too hard. Stay close to your father and maybe time will heal.

Maybe she resents anything in your Dad's past life. You didn't do anything wrong. Never feel that way. Have you talked to your Dad about it? Might be a good idea. Maybe she doesn't like herself very well, so she takes it out on you. I really wish you the best.

first of all you need to talk to your father about how you feel about all of this it is the best thing that you can do........Second your step-mother should not hate you she knew before she married your father.............Just talk to your father and if that does not work then talk to a family member and let them know and tell your father if he does not tell her to stop treating you like **** that you will go live with them.........Good Luck............

I'm sure that the step parent has her reasons.
You can't fix HER... but you can sure fix YOU...
Examine what you are doing wrong and try to make it right... the benefit to you will be immediate and obvious.
