It's also called the old Dallas High School. It's closed down now, but it seems like a pretty cool place. I would have loved to go there if it was open though. Has anyone ever gone to that school? And, has anyone ever seen that place? Do you know of any links that has any information on that place. I know that they tore a lot of the school buildings down, but, luckily they left the original building.

I found this out on google.

Folks as you well know Crozier Tech has been in the Dallas Morning News for several day last week. In fact Wednesday there was supposed to be a decision on whether the building would saved or torn down. The news did not run a story on the results. I feel as though.it may not have been good news.
Anybody know what the situation is on it?

go to google and type in that high school name or click pics. and it will show a pic. of it.

There was an article in The Dallas Morning News last week re: Tech High School. Per the article, it is a forgone fact that the bldg is headed for demolition in the VERY NEAR future.

Crozier wasn't on the City Council Agenda last week. They haven't posted the next one yet.

or you can visit wikipedia.

or yahoo.
someone wrote this.

I graduated from N. R. Crozier Technical High School in 1949. My brother in 1941. (Just in time for WW2) Tech was rather unique in several ways. It had special classes for all those who had no chance of going to collage. Machine shop, Sheet Metal Shop, Electric Shop, Auto Mechanics, Carpentry shop, Cosmetology, Office Machine training, Comptometer training etc. It also had excellent Commercial Art, drafting, Photography, all the arts. Even a special Art Pottery course.
Tech also had the only Night High School in Dallas. For anyone, teen or adult, who had to work days.
This was at a time when there were only 5 other High Schools in Dallas and they had the standard academic classes.
We lived in the Woodrow Wilson area and had to get permission from both districts to transfer to Tech. My brother for Commercial Art as a college prep. and I to study Photography.
Tech was the school where, after WW2, all the GI's went to get their H. S. diplomas so they could go on to college on the GI bill. They took their classes with the other students. (This caused many problems, and several pregnancies)
Anyone remember Doc Hayes? He was the basketball coach at Tech for several years in the 1940s. He led Tech to the State finals two different times. Then SMU gave him a contract and he took several of the Tech team with him to SMU. He won 8 SWC Championships between 1946 and 1966, An all time record.

it is also the oldest high school in dallas.

yes i've heard of it and seen it...it's near downtown. it's a really old *run down* building now, so it's nothing exciting (it might have been if they had kept the building up), and with all the construction and new stuff being built down there, i'm sure it will be torn down in the near future. North Dallas High School near the west village area is also a really old high school (the oldest one that is still open i think) and it is still open if you are interested in checking that out.

I went to boarding institution and women used to sneak their boyfriends in by way of the dorm home windows and more commonly move to the enormous video games bathe - my boarding apartment was once a institution hospital earlier than it was once a apartment and the shrink flooring was once women exchanging rooms and has a enormous communal bathe. It was once disused by the point I got here to the institution and the door was once continually locked however might be jimmied open if you happen to knew how, so a pair might sneak in there each and every couple of weeks. I have no idea why they stored going there on the grounds that it was once correct subsequent to our matron's flat and she or he wasn't dull - if she heard some thing happening (or if any of the juniors within the dorm the opposite part of the bathe room mentioned some thing) she'd flip the water provide again on and douse the entire room in bloodless water. There had been different situations additionally wherein day scholars had been stuck in combination within the institution woods, in most important toilets.. One couple was once even stuck within the Chemistry library..
