You may want to look into Proactiv (proactiv.com). It works really well and very quickly.

Okay so...
Most importantly don't over wash your face.
It over drys your skin
and it can actually produce more oil and you'll get even more acne.
Try and get a toner to clean up excess oil
but don't over use that either
if your face is really sensitive i reccomend using
Clean&Clear Deep Cleaning Astringent for sensitive skin
I use it and i dont have acne.
It's just better to use a toner to make sure you don't have a lot of oil.
If you do have a lot of oil on your skin and you don't always have the time to wash your face when its oily, make sure to get oil absorbing sheets.
Clean&Clear also makes some that instantly remove oil and it won't smudge your make up.
Another thing is go buy Proactive or Acne Free
if you need to clear up acne and keep it away.
A few of my friends use Proactive and some use Acne Free
and they are basically the same but Acne Free costs less.
So drink lots of water, excersize, and don't stress out.

Right now my skin is perfectly clear, for the first time in 3 years. It's been about 9 weeks and all my acne is gone. It is such a great feeling to wake up with clear skin.

I tried Proactive and it sucked...I have extremely fair and sensetive skin and it burned and dried my face!
I go to a dermatologist regularly and he may do acne surgery or not...I have gone from once a month to every three months and only go in if I have a flair up...then I get a cortizone shot.
The Rx I was given is the BEST. It is called Benzaclin and it is the strongest antibiotic cream out there. It has benzoyl peroxide and sulfer. It is great. It was also featured in InStyle magazine not too long ago. Check it out if you can. Hope this helps you out. Good luck!

Hey. . . I know this is a hard and a bit embarassing question to ask.. so good for you!
First of all, find a face wash/scrub/applicant that WORKS FOR YOUR SKIN! I have also found that rotating different treatments works very well too...
You Can go to a dermatologist, (don't be embarrassed - MANY girls go to dermatologists to solve even the simplest cases of acne) and he will subscribe you a treatment (usually a topical treatment) or sometimes tetracycline pills that out can take (I don't think these are good for you body in the long run though, so try out healthier alternatives first!) I think a dermatologist can really help. . .
Also, I find eating HEALTHY is VERY good for you skin. . . I always break out after I eat: more oily dairy products (such as chocolate and cheese) Margarine is also a big one for me, really rich white bread, and sugar as well. Try to avoid greasy/fatty/oily foods for a little while and just see what happens...Just try to get to know your body, experiment and see what foods make your acne worse or better, etc.. But I would go as healthy as possible - FRUITS AND VEGETABLES are excellent choices, and chicken is a nice meat source, try whole wheat bread instead of white, etc... also drinking LOTS of water (like 6-8 glasses a day) is EXCELLENT for skin, try to avoid sugary drinks such as juice and pop, and even if you're not really thirsty DRINK WATER!
Well, these are just a few pointers I would have for you...
Oh, also zinc mineral vitamins are supposedly good for clearing up acne, and they are 100% natural...
GOOD LUCK! and don't be afraid to ask questions...

If it is just an oily skin problem, keep your hands off your face, 2nd wipe your face off once or twice daily with cotton balls and either an astringent or if it is really bad rubbing alcohol. Do not get it close to your eyes!! It may sting but not only will it remove excessive oils on your skin, but it will shink the inflamed/infected acne.

I have found that Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps- the Tea Tree formula specifically- to be of great help when it comes to clearing up acne.
Tea tree oil is a natural antiseptic and the vitamin E is good for your skin.
