I have a bisexual wife who is in love with a young poor single mother..and I love them both..so it is a love triangle that goes in both direction A loves B and C B loves A and C C loves A and B..so this women wants me to adopt her young son and the women want to raise a new baby together each by me..so I think I should marry the other girl so her child who I want to adopt will be taken care of by my estate when I die...Couldn't smart lawyers create a contract for this type of marriage....it doesn't make sense..many other mammals also live in packs with one as a husband to multiple females....

Polygamy is a little different legally than gay marriage. Look at it this way: with gay marriage you are still restricting the bind to two individuals where as polygamous contracts have an inherent problem with estates. It becomes confusing when the spouse that has taken on multiple partners passes away (this is the same problem with bigamy). The law is less concerned with the sanctity of marriage and more concerned with property.

I dont think you understand the difference.

A gay marraige is still between 2 people. They ar eof the same sex.

Polygamy is when one person has a legal marraige to more than one individual. The legal marraige creates a whole bunch of legal responsibilities that cannot be accomplished if one person has made that legal promise to more than one person at a time.

What is legal is that 3 or more people live together without being married, except that they live together without any legal bonds.
A man can have multiple women living with him. As long as everyone understands and accepts what is going on then no laws are being broken.
