I think way back when they used to render all the parts of the body into 'spirits'... blood, urine, bile (from the stomach and liver) and of course 'semen'.. which was thought to reside in the spine, and in the brain and even in the eyes, (I think) So if you jerk off too uch, the level of semen goes down, the balance gets disrupted and your body doesn't have enough 'spirit' to see correctly. But you know what? This is just something I remember hearing about in philosophy class, ten or more years ago, so maybe there is a better answer than that.
Alternatively: If you jerk off too muchb at once, you can raise your blood pressure enough that you have a stroke. :)

They said that (and it's not true) to stop boys from masturbating. The Catholic Church is famous for making this activity seem sinful while it allows its priests to jack off altar boys, give little boys blow jobs and screw teenagers butts.
You will not go blind, so enjoy it.

the reason that rumor came around is that kids who masturbate alot in their teens tend to start to get glasses at the same time casue they are getting older...so people connected starting to masuturbate in your teens with gettting glasses in your teens...it does not make u go blind

ok, let me explain this to you.
when some one said that it was because they were watching TV and on TV was masterbation.
they meant to say, you will go blind if you sit to close to the TV, but instead of saying TV, masterbation came out, because of the content on TV at the time.
As you well know, once you say some thing it cant be taken back, so needless to say it went on in history as "masterbation" when it was meant to be "TV"
