sometimes its not so much racism.its just human nature to judge others for whatever reason, many times one of their diffrences is the skin color and since they arent the same skin color, one of them thinks that hes supperior than the other one.its a more competitive think than just racism.the main part of racism is people being ignorant and close minded.ignorant because they dont and cant understand that the other person is just like him,the same species(Homo-sapiens) and closed minded because they wont open up their mind to new things and are stuck on their own little world.so everyone should just open up their minds and take everyone as equal.

Answer is..It can be resolved, but it WON'T be resolved. Unfortunately, that's the way it is. There are people who are just going to stick to their beliefs, and they feel that nobody else can tell them different.
Racism still exists because some people were taught that way at birth. Others have had a few bad experiences with a particular race, and they feel it's easier to put a whole race in a box.

Look at what bluedoggy said. He believes that to take away benifits from a race that was held economicly captive for over 400 years while another race prospered from them would end racism. But with all the so called assistance given to minorities, we still take up the majority of the jail space even though we commit a minority of the crime. We have a minority of the wealth and a majority of the poverty stricken areas.
If you believe what you see on the television, then the only thing you will know about minorities is that they are angry, poor, and criminaly minded. Black people who have been damaged possibly more than even the indians have been told that if they just forget what happened and don't look for an apollogy that some how all of the mistrust will just subside. I don't know how many people would be able to sustain a relationship with someone who instead of acknowledging a wrong, instead of apollogising,or instead of trying to make a mends was told by the other person to get over it. I know I raped your grandmother. I may have murderd your father. Yes I assasinated every person that ever tried to teach you to have pride in yourself but just get over it.
I think if we all just air our dirty laundry(Black people have some too. Remember the Egyptions and the Hebrews?), we could get to the heart of the matter and start to understand one another. Right now, the races just completely remove themselves from one another. We need brutal, ugly, honesty.

Suppose the government benefits were taken away that are given to a certain race. This would make the playing field even, but the race would consider it prejutice. As long as the government is giving something to one race and not another, there will be racism.

We still have it because it is taught. People that are racist end up teaching it to their children and it keeps going. I think it probably has gotten better but I don't think that it will ever go away completely. Its very sad that racism is still present to this day :(
