Changing my logoff name when shutting off my computer? Want it to read, "log off (new name)"?

When I shut down my computer it says, "log off Kevin?" I want it to read another name. How do I change this? I have a Windows operating system.

go to start, control panel, users, and change user name; voila!

depending on the version of windows you have, you may have to go in to change user accounts or some other places first...but once you're in control panel > users, it should be pretty easy to figure out. good luck! :)

Go to control panel and click on System. You should see a tab that says Computer Name. Under that tab, type the name you would like in the Computer Description text box. I'm not sure if it will display that while you are shutting down, but it will say Turn Off " at the bottom left of the log-in screen.

Well there is no other way to change that name. If you have setup a user account with your name Kevin, that windows presumes that Kevin is the one logged on. If you want to see another name you have rename your user name account in order for it to read something else.
