I don't think so. They may get some teasing, but I certainly don't think people are losing jobs due to it. I am left handed for sports, and right handed for writing.

I am a lefty and I don't feel discriminated against. Most people think it's cool to see a lefty because we are in the minority.

How do you mean discriminated against exactly?
*By the way - we are the only one in our right minds because the right side of the brain controls the left side of the body!

I am left handed and I am proud to be left handed. Im the only one in my family who is left handed and that makes me feel special and unique. But when I saw a list of the many famous left handed people out there, that made me feel even more accepted due to the fact that many artists were left handed. I dont care what people say and I dont care what some bible says, left handed people are cool and should be equally accpeted in society. As an extra, there are some things I could do with my left and some with my right. However, those who discriminate against us are just jealous that we have such a reputation.

Haha! Well, I'm a leftie, also left-footed (as I play soccer), and am imaginative and like the arts, which probably makes me left-brained.
But in regards to your question, I don't feel discriminated against, no. In fact, I feel pretty special.
Except for those darn scissors and spiral notebooks!
:)

Yes. My bank for instance refuses to give me a left handed chequebook meaning each time i sign a cheque I smear the ink. They say that there isn't enough call for it. One in ten people are left handed so thats technically 5 million people in the UK alone are being discriminated against

Not neccessarily. In our religion, everything good should be done with the right hand. A person must eat, give charity, and start things on the right. But if it's like sports and other activities there is no harm in using the left. It helps unify people and gives them order.

yes i am a lefty and i have found myself in situations with other right handed people telling me that i am not good enough to preform a certain task because i am a lefty. often times i cannot write things because my hand just smudges it as i move my hand and i often get made fun of. it needs to stop.

My husband and son are both lefties and there are certain things that are definately "right handed". Things like door knobs, pencil sharpeners and ladles are things "righties" don't have to stop and think about. There's a certain inconvenience to being left-handed in a right-handed world.

Perhaps not knowingly, now there is a catalogue for left hand folk, it has a lot of useful items for lefties such as scissors, cameras etc.

NO! A lot of parents just think its more normal to have a right handed child. But back in the day children who were left handed were smacked and made to write with their right hand. Other than that i don't know about any religions.
