Went to the movies today and all I could hear here and there was the crunch -munch everywhere of people eating popcorn.I felt like I was surrounded by ruminants!

In most European movie theatres there is no eating during movies rather there is a 15 minute break where the movie is paused so people can eat , use the restrooms and then the movie resumes.

It depends on how loud or quiet the movie is. For an action movie, it doesn't matter. For very quiet films, they shouldn't sell popcorn.
My problem is that I hate kids, but love kids movies. If I go the second day a kiddie film is out (like say Shrek or Spongebob), half the theater has already seen it and they won't shut up!!

Not usually but some people really seem to make it sound atrocious...you know the type that is just going to town and chompin with their mouth open,handfuls at a time...no manners at all those kind lol :)
Just another reason why I totally prefer to watch movies on DVD at home :)

This is the deal, people don t know how to chew with their mouths closed. The initial entering of popcorn into ones seemingly bottomless pit of a mouth and then chomping down with their mouths open is the problem. They must of had awful parents.

I'm more annoyed with nacho's and the fact that they even sell such a loud food at the movies. Anything to make a buck!

Yes, along with how they got to move the popcorn in the bag to get it well coated with butter - I saw The Lake House this weekend, and someone behind me was doing that, and it was SO ANNOYING!

I'm so bothered when they eat the popcorn with their mouth open, then take a big swig of soda, and then burp outloud. YUCK>

The rustle of wrappers bothers me people opening bags of candy and popcorn bags.I just want to scream when I hear it!

um, i'm not bothered by it because i can't hear it like that! gurl you jus need to sit back, relax, and watch the movie! don't pay attention to what other people are doing!
