The strangest thing I've licked is a slug. Someone once told me that it would make your tongue tingle due to a chemical defensive property in the mucous of the slug. It really didn't do much. I've licked worms, spiders, and many varieties of insects as dares. The actual dares were to eat these organisms, which I did, but I licked them in the process.
Oh, I've also licked a cold metal pole to see if it would freeze to my tongue (I had an emergency supply of warm water). It stuck a little. I was pretty immature as a kid.
