The answer about the UCC is generally not correct when it comes to a car. The UCC applies in those states that have adopted it, absent law that applies to the type of contract/goods involved. All states have specfic laws regarding repossing a car. Trepassing is perfectly legal in some, while not in others. Some they must notify the police and that's it. Remember they hold the title till it's paid for. If you stop them from taking it in any form you can be arrested for possesion of a stolen veichle.
Generally after X number of payments have been missed the bank can reposses it at anytime in just about any method needed. (I say just about since for example they can't pull a gun on you and force you to the side of the road, etc)

By the time (most) vehicles ARE actually repossessed, you have been given PLENTY of time to catch up on your payments. Secret to keeping your vehicles? Pay your bills on time, and don't take on loans greater than you can pay. (Some lenders do this knowing they'll eventually gain the vehicle back).

No!
All of the over-due notices piled up on your coffee table should be a good clue that your car will soon be repo'd!

It depends on where you live but in Florida and Georgia they can just come in the middle of the night and take the car. Or they can take it from your work, whereever you are.

they already sent you a bill. since you have a lein set against this property, that means that they paid for it and now you are paying them to use it and when it is paid for, its yours and there isnt a lein against it anymore....so...they can take it whenever they want...they actually own it...your just "renting" it until you can pay them back..
