I think you can, but there is also a system called CLEARING which is where the other available spaces are allocated after the people who didn't miss the deadline have confirmed acceptance of the places that they have accepted. Take a look at the UCAS or NMAS websites

Yes, UCAS runs a clearing house scheme for people applying after June 30th or people who do not hold places for other reasons.

You can apply for clearing, which is basically if they need spaces to fill you can get in depending on the course. Or you can apply for next year.

u can apply through clearing via ucas in aug when the exam results are out as sum pple will not get thier grades who have been offered places so spare places come up

If you're over 21 you can apply direct.
