A simile is a stated comparison, using "like" or "as." When Robert Burns wrote "My love is like a red, red rose" he used a simile.

The link below has a huge supply of simile poems. All you really need to do is to compare two things using "like" or "as".
The second website is a lesson plan format for several grades.

When you want to find something:
1.) Go to www.google.com
2.) Type what you want in quotes like this: "simile poems"
3.) Look at the results and pick a few to read
4.) Find ones that have the best quality information. Ones that end with .org , .edu , .com are usuallly good.
Here is one site I looked up for you.

Yes, you are correct! Personification is a figure of speech that gives an inanimate object human traits and qualities. And a simile is a comparison between two things, usually with the words 'like or 'as'.

Don't know but go to www.poetry.com and I will help you with that since I have written about 40 poems.
Life is like a river where
It's cold and empty
Full and pretty
The river can be cool as ice
And the river can be hot as the oven
But the time can change like a clock
Can tick and the river can shine
Like the light of the sun
This river is like a gift
We carry and find
And the motion of the ocean
Is like a wave that can not hide
Where we all show our emotions
Like the birds that sing
Around us and the cloud
That can not drop rain
It is frozen as ice
And beautiful as heaven.
Hope you liked it, I just made it up and tried my best.

Your question is like the rain
So transluscent as stained glass
Answered like a hurricane
By the mightiest gale
That beckons as a temptress
To her unknowing mate
