This pops up everytime I start the computer up, I have Windows Xp.
It says it is an application and it is in my System32 folder I have searched that folder and the entire computer for the source. I have searched the internet for what it is exactly and I am stumped.

Run msconfig and see if it is in the startup. If so you can tell it not to run. If it is not there then scan the regustry (regedit - find). this is more dangerous as you can trash your system if you delete the wrong thing.

Hi! Sorry to hear about that. It seems that you have Anti-spyware. What you need to do is try to run Microsofts Anti-Spyware or any other software.

Here you can download Microsoft Defender (It will only install on Valid copies of Windows)

http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx

About finding information on that file, sometimes you will not find any information on files like that, because they vary, their names are just created by another file, which it is run on Startup.

Spybot Search and Destroy has a feature that allows you to remove Startup items from your computer. Try it.

Good luck!

You may have a trojan or spyware application installed on your computer.

Get adaware (www.lavasoftusa.com) or spybot defender (or both) and scan your PC. Get an antivirus program and run it. Many (such as AVG antivirus or AVast anti-virus) are free downloads.

check the executable name again and enter it using the website below:

http://www.liutilities.com/products/wintaskspro/processlibrary/smss/

it will tell you what the process is for.
