yes i belive in witches and warlocks. a witch is a person that practices magic. a witch is also a person that practices the wiccan religion it can be eaither a man or woman. a warlock is not a man that practices witchcraft as many of the other people have posted. in midevil times a warlock was a person that would brake an oath, back then a LOCK was a promise and WAR meant to brake.and a sage is a wise person. dont know much abut mages tho

Hmm, how to put this....I don't believe the labels that your evangelical fundies would use to attack folks apply anymore, really, but....
Like another poster said, the human mind is a powerful thing and lots of people are just beginning to find out how powerful....and one of the documented side effects of that power is that it works better when there is doubt about who did it. At least 2-3 studies have been done on the phenomenom of "fake ghosts".
Meaning, the researcher will get a group of folks together for the study, they will work together to actually *co-author* an entirely fictitious and made-up, but plausible character as a "ghost", and then once folks agree on the character....they'll hold a seance. To try to "contact" an entity they KNOW is fake, because they themselves MADE HIM UP.
You know what happens? The same kinds of low-grade, telekinesis-style stuff that has been observed to occur in "real" seances trying to contact "real" ghosts. And in both of the surveys I am familiar with, the room the mock-seances took place in had a carefully controlled ventilation system and all the furniture was checked, the room was thoroughly vetted and clean of any trickery or prestidigitation....
Basically, the ideas from the research are:
--bright lights are not conducive to the human mind doing weird things...
--if it looks like you can point a finger at someone and say directly, "you did this huh?" any phenomena will be weak at best.
So yeah, if there are weird mind tricks going on, a person might well rather say, "It's magick, I did this with a voodoo spirit," or whatever, because taking blame directly seems to short-circuit the process...

Believe (accept the existance of) or know (have the facts)?
I know witches exist. There are also warlocks, sages, mages.....
When I mentioned in one of my questions that warlocks are 'oath breakers,' not 'male witches', I had a bunch of answerers tell me warlock means male witches. I'm thankful you all here know the the truth. Thank you!
"Bewitched" screwed up the definition of warlock and the (surviving) actors on that show know the truth as well.

I believe for I am a Witch. No I do not worship Satan nor am I evil. There are Witches everywhere. By the way they are all called Witches no matter what gender they are. There is no title of Warlock. We are Witches, period! We believe that whatever you put forth will return to us 3 fold. So why would we be evil and want to receive back 3 fold evil? We don't because most Witches are NOT evil.

Witches and Warlocks exist because people even today believe that they are witches and warlocks (see Wicken religion for details). But I do not believe in "Magic". I believe in the human mind, it's a powerful thing. So if people believe in something, it can actually cure them of real disease, and make certain magical things happen.
Sages are just really smart people who pursue enlightenment, so they may be extinct now. Mages are master magicians. See above.

Witches exist, yes. Warlocks are oath-breakers according to Wiccan (the religion that predominantly practices wtichcraft) princaples. Male practitioners of witchcraft are called witches.
A common misconception: Witches have sold their souls to an imiginary being called the "Devil." This couldnt' be farther from the truth. Witches and Wiccans do not believe in a being of all evil called "Satan" or the "Devil."

first off i am a witch. next there is no warlocks a warlock is an old catholic term for oath breaker. i am a wizard (mage) that i study the high magickal arts of alchemy astrology tarot and pathwork on the tree of life. i do not yet consider myself a sage because i have not myself yet experienced travel of my spirit out of my body and connected to the wealth of wisdom and knowledge at the akashic records but im working towards that goal. and wow have i gone a long ways towards that goal so far. anything else you wish to know contact me. dont believe the people who like the stupid sheep they are fall for the fear that some evil entity they call satan who must have more power then their god why else run around so afraid of its power. satan only exsists in the fear they create in themselves and others. any one who wants to know the true nature of the light in the frigerator opens it up and explores its depths and meanings and finding a switch and a light bulb figures it out. this is a witch and a wizard. we do that with nature and all life. we dont take for granted that just because what some one says is true (hmmm bible) that it is true. do you trust a doctor or get a second opionion? do you trust a car salesmen or should you have a mechanic look at the car? in each of these instances you are looking for knowledgeable guides. there is no such knowledgeable guide that needs to deal in fear to get you to have faith and shut up.

Yes, it's easy to believe in something/someone when you are a witch & know other witches. Warlocks, though? A male witch is called a witch.
