MLB diamonds are all exactly the same size....Although the fields can vary by a lot...sometimes the fields are determined by the space that is available for the ball park

The diamonds are all the same size. The diamond is actually a square, 90 feet on each side. The view of the square from home plate is from one corner of the square. The playing fields vary in size, but not the diamonds.

All major league baseball diamonds are 90 ft by 90 ft with four corners of 90 degree angles. There are no exceptions to this in any mlb park.

you do know the diamond is from home to first to second to third and back to home right, they are always the same distance, sometimes it looks different but its not. The field is what i believe you are asking. The truth behind that is because it gives each park its own personality. Baseball used to be played without fences also, so i think that they are a lot happier with them.

That's what makes baseball different from all the other sports. No other sport has the defense in control of the ball. No other sport has no time limit. (except cricket). The diamond is the same everywhere, but the stadium fences are different distances, with nooks and crannies in most of the corners. Sometimes they change the fence distances from year to year, but your team has to hit it out, as well as the visitors. It's a cerebral game, IMO.

The diamond itself is standard in ALL MLB parks. The length on the field is different. Mostly depends on the footage of land that the park is built on and the design of the entire stadium - seating, parking, etc.

because they want to have a challange for players and they are stretching the rules. And there are no rules at all regulating the height of "fences, stands or other obstructions", other than the assumption that they exist. Because of this flexibility, there are all sorts of variations in parks, from different lengths to the fences to uneven playing surfaces to massive or minimal amounts of foul territory. All of these factors, as well as local variations in altitude, climate and game scheduling, can affect the nature of the games played at those ballparks
