I believe it could make the news. Many things that could make the news never do because people neglect to actually contact any news organizations. My advice, begin emailing your story to news groups. Many have online websites with contact information.
Be sure that your contract with the National Gaurd stipulates that you were eligiable for pay once leaving the National Gaurd. Unless you've earned retirement status, dissability pay, or some sort of penchant once you leave, I don't know if you are actually eligiable for any pay once leaving the National Gaurd.

I would think so,,But you are the first I heard of that the National Guards,,don't pay,,I have three of my family in the national guards,,
