Does anyone have any advice or experience in stretching their lobes?

I’m at a 0 gauge. My advice if you want to do this yourself. Buy a tapering kit off of eBay and taper them from where you’re at right now 2 gauge sizes at a time. buy cheap plugs off the net until you get to your desired size.

20ga or 18ga is a normal ear peircing (if this helps any)...

18ga, wait 1 week,
16ga, wait 1 week,
14ga, wait 2 weeks,
12ga, wait 2 weeks,
10ga, wait 2 weeks,
8ga, wait 2 weeks,
6ga, wait 3 weeks,
4ga, wait one month
2ga, wait one month or longer before putting in a 0

From there on out you’re on your own… The above is what I used and it worked well for me. I would taper my ears twice a day once at morning and once at night. I just used Vaseline to lubricate the stretch so that I didn’t break skin.

Once you gauge these out to where you want them and they are easily taken out and put back in – make sure to wash out the actual gauged hole in your ear every morning (in the shower, or something) or that mess will smell like anus.

My best advice yet - don't listen to these pansies that told you not to do it :)

Expression is all we have!!

Good luck!!

O.k if you plan on stretching your lobes make sure you ALWAYS have the plug in the ear because when you take it out your ear lobe will look disgusting like a vagina. ewww!

i went from normal earrings to 00g earrings, dont listen to everyone else, if you want to stretch them, go for it, i had mine in for like 2 years and had them out for about a month and they're nearly back to normal. if you DO decide to take them out, rub tea tree oil on them, it will help them close up. i'm not promising they will shrink back down ALWAYS, but mine closed up after 2 years, so feel free to experiment. now, if you're like me, you're on a budget, and can't afford to buy new plugs everytime you want to go up a gauge. Not a problem. I'd recommend you go with rings from about the beginning (18g) until maybe 10g if you can, but past that, wrap a piece of electrical tape around the earring, and when you're ready to stretch it more, add a little more. do NOT push it, you WILL rip your ears, and you don't want to do that, it will hurt like hell and will prevent your ears from healing properly and can keep them from being able to close up later on. TAKE CARE OF THEM AND BE PATIENT THIS IS SO CRITICAL. i know it is so tempting to rush, but in the long run taking immaculate care while stretching (make sure to clean them with antibacterial soap everytime you shower and use Bactine as much as you think to ESPECIALLY after gauging or touching them) will most certainly pay off. Good luck and email me if you have any questions!

Yes and that is DON'T DO IT! I already gave this speech to someone who asked the same question:
You need to think about your future. When people look at you... their first impression is that you are scary and disturbed. You are never going to get a job, or a husband/wife. You may get a girlfriend/boyfriend, but they are never going to want to marry someone who looks like that forever.
Also think about your looks, when you are 30 and are disguisted because you decided to do it, it will be too late! Your ears will be big, droopy, and gross!
I am not one to put you down for your curiosity, but I think you should rethink this whole thing!

Why would a normal person want to do that to his/her body? When I see a person with that, I wonder what was the reason to get that. I think many peopl do those things because they have problems. They take it out on their body.

I agree with most - DON"T DO IT - - as most others have said think this through -- can you afford to have it 'fixed' if they can even fix it at all, later in life - because you will regret this decision.

its called gauging. you can go to hot topic and get some earrings and get one size up from what you have and go from there so they can gradually get bigger.
also i know many people who have it done. dont listen to the people who are telling you not to do it.

If you want to do something with your life....don't do it. It does not go back to normal...ever. So if you want to be a professional or have a real job...don't do it.
