My friend is very self concious about her name. It is Andee. Do you like it? What do you think about it?

I actually love names like that, where it is a name generally used for the oppsite gender but made so that it works for a diffrent one. Andy is a terrible boy's name, but I think that Andee is just AWESOME! I think that part of the reason why I like it so much is that without even knowing her it seems to me as if she is an independant person who lives life by her own rules, but at the same time donest break important rules that others set up.
Tell her not to feel bad about her name. Some people are going to love her name, and some people are going to hate it. Just because a few people may tease her doesnt mean anything. That happens to anyone, no matter what their name is. Personally, I think that when it is used for a girl it is an extremely beautiful name.

It's not short for Andrea? It's ok, but not my favorite. There are a heck of a lot of worse names than Andee though!

It could be confused with a boy's name. It actually makes a very cute girl's name.

I think it is unusual and she should love it and make it her own.
Her personality can be so charged that every one could remember her name because they would remember how she acts.
