But seriously... Indian, Asian, African and Middle Eastern men have a habit of treating women badly and more like posessions than equals... which turns off 99.9% of western women.

It is a cultural thing, but you could ask the same question as to why a lot of afro caribbean men have white blonde hair partners.
Mixed race couples as yet have not been totally accepted, like the two answers indicate.
But of course,sometimes the Indian men's family will not want the partner to be a western woman, too much culture clash...

Yes...there are some very good looking Asian guys about!
But I think many Western women are reluctant to actually go out with them as they fear the old rumours about how they will get treated by them. And then there's the prejudice against mixed race couples to fear...
But even saying that I would date anyone from any nation if I fancied them and they fancied me. There is a lot of prejudice and rumours standing in your way, but you'll never know unless you take a step forward to challenge the prejudice!

generally, indian men's attitude towards western women and women in general tends to turn off western women.

what the hell is that suppose to mean? im indo-italian and my gf who is white is a model for abercrombie and fitch so yes. I think this is the important question why are people so dicrimitory towards east indians. type indian in search and find out. WOW PEOPLE.

Silly question - just like any nationality there are some awful men and some fantastic ones!
If you are talking about physical looks - everyone has their own tastes. (If you know anyone who looks like Naveen Andrews I'd definitely be interested....just my point of view though LOL)

Can't speak for all of them, but some do. Some people are still caught in colonial/imperialistic mindsets where the 'other' is not a good thing no matter where they came from.

It's a personal choice. There is a huge cultural difference however, that may be difficult to overcome. Personally, race does not matter to me...it's what's inside that counts.
