sadly they did at the turn of the last century ireland wanted to rule themselves but britain had other ideas resulting in a lot of irish people losing their lives really good question

They did kill a lot of Irish and so many people around the whole world! Why, because they wanted to acquire all the riches of the world by conquering and taking it by force. Pretty much like what US is doing in Iraq and why in this case is for the oil? Simple, yet Gory! But that's the truth!

No. ( I'm presuming you're talking of the potato famine.) There's a long history to these islands, you're only get a dispassionate view by researching the answers yourself.
The point put by Pat O is incorrect, Britain has only maintained links with Ireland and now Northern Ireland due to the large percentace of the Northern Irish population wishing to remain within the United Kingdom.

They committed genocide to steal the land. Of course, we don't constantly whine about it and spend money on 'holocaust' statues, so its not a well-known fact.
