I dont think that reality T.V. has replaced the sitcom and the traditional; dramas. Maybe you just dont like anything thats currently on T.V.?

There are sooo many shows on t.v. right now that I dont know where to start. As far as the dramas, every channel hasd them..especially HBO, and Showtime,.

On the local channels , you have..Medium,CSI, Boston Legal, Superstition, O.C, The Closer, to name a few that are among many.

Just look in the T.V. guide and you will see that in fact there are many.

Untill America actually STOPS watching reality television, only then will you see the reality shows die down. The t.v. corporations put out on the tele what America watches...if the show doesnt get enough interest then they pull it.

Take Care..Happy Watching!

Yes, it's a ratings game. Just now, the pendulum's swung toward seeing people more or less like ourselves (versus actors who pretend to be people like that) get their fifteen minutes of fame. See shows like "Dancing with the Stars" and various "All-Stars" shows (e.g., Survivor, Fear Factor, and the upcoming Big Brother) for a swing back to the other direction -- either celebrities are going on "reality television" or the people who got their big break -- so to speak -- on reality TV are becoming celebrities themselves.

They are cheaper to make and they continue to get good ratings.
Wish everyone would quit watching so many reality shows. They still have some direction for the people on the shows so it is not complete reality.

Reality TV is what the powers that be want us to see. Sad, really. I love to watch shows that let me forget everything for awhile. I don't care for CSI or some other shows either. Just my opinion.
