Why does everyone hate thirteen year olds?

I feel like everyone is hatin on us...everywhere I go im critizised and it gets really annoyin and when I come on this site people are even callin us ANNOYIN...adults are the ones who are annoying...JEEZ

Thirteen is a difficult age for the 13 yr. old AND for the adults who love them. You may think they hate you - but they don't - the growing pains that you are going through is typical of a 13 yer. old - many have gone through it - many have survived.

What I really want you (and your adults) to understand is that it is difficult; there is no way around that - BUT -- IT DOES GET BETTER. Hang in.

I am on the downhill slide to 70 years old and I can still remember those great years when I moved from 12 to 13 and then on to 14...it is sad that you are experiencing these thoughts...you are at the greatest time of your life for adventure and awesome experiences...there is nothing wrong with a teenager that a little understanding and reflection would not help...anyone who is older than you and does not have the intellect to understand your age stumblings or frustrations should be ashamed of themselves...good luck to you and look to mature older folks rather than the dummies who are giving you a hard time...good fortune to you

I TOTALLY KNOW WERE YOU ARE COMEING FROM. I am 13 too and do get what you are saying. what i do is ignore it or come back with a remark like, " Well if you think we are annoying then what were you like when you were 13? I definitally don`t think you were an Angel." Well you can leave out the part that sounds like back talk but seriusly ask them (If u know the Person) Ask the person to think what they were like at 13 then tell them that not all 13 year olds are annoying, and that they shouldn`t blancket the whole wold by saying that comment.

Thirteen year olds sometimes behave like children and sometimes behave like adults...you never really know which it will be. They are often overly affected by the changes happening in their bodies which makes them moody and dramatic...sort of a handful. So if you have ever had animals and have gone through the "teenage" period - they look like adults but act like puppies - they can be sort of annoying, awkward, gangly, destructive, but you love them all the same because you know its part of their growing up - its part of life - and in the end they will eventually mature. So hang with it, every generation goes through the same thing...and it won't last forever.

I don't know anyone who "hates 13 year olds". I would be annoyed in "everyone" was "always" criticizing me too! 13 is a tough age. The good news is: you will eventually be 14...

Where in the world did you get that idea? We just want you to be responsible and accountible for your actions. The reason why "we" are annoying is many of us hold you to standards, in many cases, the standards you state you have set. We are trying to help you grow up and recognize that we expect you to do what you say and not to be rebellious just to do the opposite of what you are expected to do and say. Think about it!

um i don't hate yall im 16 and i know what u mean they just think that all the younger people on here shouldn't b askin questions cuz they think we always ask stupid questions but thats not true no matter what age u r i think every one is askin odd and dumb questions etc.

i know what you mean ....im 13 too and every one is always like suspitious that u steal crap from stores and stuff....and all the old people are all like "rebellious youth...blah blah" so just hang in there hun you'll be 14 before you know it

I think it might have something to do with the juvenile questions like "what does poop taste like" and "how do I masturbate"
