A monthly newspaper and an art gallery. Is there a business out there where I can use my newspaper to advertise it to bring in more income for me. I've heard about dropshipping but the ones I've looked at are scams. I could advertise a business or items I own the newspaper and can use all the space needed.

I don't think I made myself clear. I want an additional business or item to advertise for myself. (Ex.) DVD's, if I had a source for wholesale DVD's I could advertise them in my newspaper for sale and have them mailed to the buyer or have them shipped to me and the buyer could pick them up at my gallery. That was just an example I not interested in DVD's

Print a special section with photos of items in your gallery that have been marked down for clearance. Apply an additional % off discount if someone comes in with the section.

start with word of mouth from people you know who have businesses. they might be willing to help you or give you referrals on potential advertisers. make sure you compute your price requirements for different sized ads before approaching them, though, that way, you can make a quick presentation right there and then. a good thing to do also is to visit local businesses in your area - realtors, mortgage brokers/agents, restaurants/cafes, etc. they usually like putting in advertisements in local publications as well.

advertisements are the lifeblood for most publications, use them well and that'll help you with your success!

Let me think of something. I own a vinyl sign shop and I have several customers. I will see what I can come up with.
