I usually dry clean mine, it's normally less than $5.00 and they press it for you too, so it looks nice when you head out to the old ball game.
That is if you're talking about an authentic jersey, If you mean a game-used or game-worn, DO NOT WASH IT, it will lose all value.

What needs to be cleaned on it? Is it an old one and just has "years" on it? Is it an actual stain of some sort? (grease - grass - hopefully not Cherry Red Kool-aide). Is the fabric 100% cotton like old times or the new "cotton blend"? What condition is in it? E-mail or update specifics and I will be able to help you.

if any stains use a stain remover and then put it through the wash on slow rinse. Itll look great

It will retain all of the fabric's integrity and look great.
Especially if you intend to frame it.

You don't have it cleaned, it will remove any monetary value, and it will be completely worthless. If it is signed, frame it, but don't clean it.
