Mothers push holdiays more. Women encourage all gift giving activities. More moms areraising children alone. Men tend to down play receiving gifts. Churches are filled with mostly women and they also push the holiday. School is out by the time Father's Day comes so school children usually are not making cards and gifts.... enough

Because mothers gave birth (like one of the previous posters said), and they know there children better than the father, plus ur mother is someone you could confide some of ur privacy to. By privacy i mean ur emotional problems and such.

i didnt even know there was such thing as father's day until i came to canada..in aravic countries, there are only mother's days.. i think its because maybe mothers day was celebrated way before father's day and then ppl felt that dads r important in life too so they made a father's day

Because there are less families that have the father present. Mom's for the most part are always there.

We carry the babies, nurse the babies, and "used to be" the primary care provider. Meaning, mama took care of the kids, daddy worked, came home ate supper, then went out for poker. LOL.

because the grasping, aspirational, superficial societies we come across ourselves in provide little decision for conscientious, being concerned masculine roles or celebration of them. that is all too awkward & comfortable feely or by some potential oddly non-laptop curiously. Inarticulate & idiotic is what that is.

bECUZ MOTHERS ARE THE CLOSEST AND THEY KNOW WHAT MOTHER KNOWS BEST. THEY LOOK OUT FOR YOU.JUST WAIT TILL YOU HAVE KIDZ OF YOUR OWN THEN YOU Can ask that same question to your self. my husband think mother's are very important!

i think because everyone is more closer to there mothers because she gave birth to us we are more attached to our mothers a lot
