At the beginning of the season, I thought that the Royals would improve, have an average of over .500, and possibly make the postseason this year.

A lot of it has to do with the starting pitching. They do have one good starter Bobby Keppel but aside him they don't have anyone else. Their hitting is not all that great either. However, there is hope they hired a new GM that has said he will build up the farm system. Building up the farm system is a good place to start because if KC relies on the free agency market they are only going to end up with the leftovers that other teams don't want. Also in order to lure a good free agent to play in KC they have to offer him more money because good free agents see the team as a non-contending team hence, they are less incline to sign with KC.

Kansas City needs to do a lot of work to improve in the near future. Their starting pitching so far has been a huge dissapointment. Buddy Bell doesnt have much to work with for a lineup either. Their roster is filled with utility type players and cast offs from other teams. Ownership needs to invest money to win.

In 2006, you ask!! They haven't been playing well for a few years now. They just don't have the pitching, defense, OR hitting required of a winner. A new owner might invest some money in building a good team, but that could take some time.

Good luck!!

the kansas city royals dosent have the money to buy big players. and they cant really trade any because they dont play well so it wont be a worth trade. They also never do well and probably never will do good. thats why they are really poor when they play.

See your whole problem is the fact that your asking the wrong question.

the question you should ask is:

"why would I ever think that the royals are capable of playing well?"

"Is something wrong with me?"

see those are the questions you need to post on this site. and if you think there are playoff hopes for the royals in the al central, something obviously is wrong with you.

Kansas City, has no real talent, there pitching is atrocious, and they can't hit the ball, at all.
