Don't forget polonium, named after Poland by Maria Skłodowska-Curie and her husband Pierre Curie.

There's also gallium, which is based on the Latin name for France (Gallia). That makes France the winner, with two elements named after it!

Elements named after countries (no cities, planets, continents, regions, etc.):
Americium
Copper (from Cuprum - the Latin for Cyprus)
Francium
Gallium
Germanium
Polonium
