I don't know but the same thing is happening to my computer. So I'm going to stay posted on your question to see if anything helps.

Why dont you tryr putting on a popup blocker it will block it from coming on every 3 minutes on the bottom of the screen it will just say your pop up was blocked

With Windows XP you can go back to before this
happened with System Restore.
