I was watching cartoons with my 6 yr old Niece and a tampon commercial came on..do you think this should be done?

Great question!
Advertising has gotten out of control. Don't you love it when you are watching something appropriate with a child, and the ad comes on for some show later that night, and the ad is full of sexual inuendo or coarse language.
It's so tough, and I really love TV. Quite often, I mute the ads. They are usually so annoying, that it makes everyone happier!

Things are a lot worse than a tampon commercial. I hate it when my mom comes to visit and we are watching tv when a commercial about erectile dysfunction comes on

I don't watch TV at all, so I would not know what's appropriate programming or what isn't. I just don't know what's on anymore.

because they know adults like you watch also. when i was a kid i knew of no adults that did. all the ads were for cereal, poptarts, bikes, and toys.
