slope is rise over run

meaning you take y2-y1/x2-x1 and that gives the slope

also for slope intercept form...
when you have 2 sets of coordinates and you're trying to solve for b (y=mx+b)
and you have the equation y=1/2x+b

you take any set of points and fill in the y and x coordinates to the correct spots. then solve for b and the put in y intercept form check ya later ♥

See: http://www.wtamu.edu/academic/anns/mps/math/mathlab/beg_algebra/beg_alg_tut23_slope.htm
and then ask more specific questions.
