Their team did not qualify. They had to beat Japan, Korea. Maybe in 2010. I don't think football is their main sport in China. Oh, you 23 players, not 11.

marceldev29 is also a plain idiot for making such a political slur ... they qulaified last world cup but did not make it through the first stage of qulification . The women previous actually did win the world cup title (8 years ago or so ) Fifi200 is making a statment with out knowing anything as soccer.futeball is played in china ! Obviously the people here making most of these comments do not go for intellectual facts , probably due to the fact that they never made it very far after the first few grades .

I think they have more important issues to deal with that then winning the world cup every four years. While others countries are worrying about their football teams they will be taking over the world. Between now and the next world cup I suggest everyone learn Mandarin Chinese.

China (i think) has been very insular over the years. They are concerned with their own country and not with the rest of the world. When they take over as the biggest power in the world they might turn their thoughts to sporting competitions.

their government is not concerned as much about soccer as much as they are about commerce and production. its simply not a priority of theirs. and they have to have 23 not 11 players.

they r to busy practising table tennis, badminton and basketball! not that u would think they would be very good a basket ball being quite little but they love it here!
