Voltage is referred as the potential difference (PD). Most appliances have a PD in comparison to earth (ground). So 12 volts means the difference from 0V (grnd) and 12V but could also mean in some appliances the PD of 4V and 16V. If earth is 0V what is the PD of the moon in comparison to earth?

Ok u say it bleeds off. Bleeds off to where? and to what value of PD are we talking about now if they are no longer at the potential of earth? Surely your answers are have created more questions. And as for the dumbass answer... try answering the question instead of trying to make others feel inferior. U are not superior to me for you have given me nothing.

Astronauts did not go to the moon and they surely did not tow a car up there! Just search moon landing.
I watched the first moon landing on tv in 1969 I did not believe it then and I dont believe it now IT'S TELEVISION! and the USA is the movie capital of the world The goverment can fake anything.
If they landed on the moon they would be still sitting there because they did not have the over welming power to break gravity to get home.

Watch the next shuttle launch and look at the volume of fuel it takes to break earths gravity .
They would need one sixth of that energy to get off the moon and by looking at the capsule they did not have it.
By the way we were in a race with russia but they covered that up til this day.
Dont you think its strange we spend all that money on the space shuttle to orbit 300 miles above the earth and not go to the moon, They cant fool all of the people all of the time and now its really hard , were too smart if you only look.
And i really have doubts about mars rovers that could be faked too, It's all TV!
If you want to see something for real watch china , they dont know they cant do it so they probally will.

A good question. Does the earth contain more electrons than protons? Does the moon? I don't know, but it's possible that they could have some excess charge and that they could be different. But I think that difference would be small compared to the net charge on the spacecraft resulting from a journey much more traumatic than a glass rod rubbed on fur.

Interesting question. I do not know if there is a voltage difference, but if there were it would be equalized as soon as the spacecraft (and passengers therein) touched the moon.

long and slow enough trip to bleed off before they get there.
