I don't know your back story or his for that matter, but generally speaking I do think 13/14 is too young to say you've found your true love. Mainly because those years are typically very selfish/ self involved years (although those factors follow people well into their college years, it usually starts there). True love is unconditional and unconditionally forgiving for any mistakes that you may live through while with him. It's honest and messy and there isn't a doubt in your head once you've found it. You'll know exactly when it happens. What you are feeling may very well be love; regardless, treat each other with kindness and do anything in your power to make each others lives easier. Love is a complex and wonderful thing. I am not going to tell you that you are too young because you have powerful feelings for someone else and they are real and honest feelings.

What you will learn with time is that "your definition" of "true love" and what "you feel" as far as being in love will change as you grow older because you will learn that love also means responsibility and compromise and sacrifice. When you get older you'll realize that your feelings will be tested when the one you love doesn't always live up to your expectations.

I think that you should wait because you still have your whole life ahead of you and who knows you may think that he or she is your true love now but later on in life you may meet someone new.
