The tickets were dismissed. Insurance went up and now I need to switch companies. Do I have to tell the new company about the accidents if the tickets were dismissed? Do they show up on the Motor Veh. Report?

you dont have to tell the new company about the accidents, they are on your record, and they will find out anyway

The tickets may have been dismissed, but there is still a record of the accident. Anytime you are involved in an accident it is recorded. The police can then choose to/or chose not to issue tickets and you can argue the tickets, but you can NOT remove the accident record.

If you don't state it then the new company will deny your policy AND will be able to press charges. Most insurance companies make you state that subject to the crime of prejury that the information is correct. (This is backed by the law)

Since the tickets were dismissed, does that mean the accidents weren't your fault? If they weren't your fault, your insurance shouldn't have gone up. If they were your fault, you will likely be put in a high risk insurance company regardless of who it's through. If you don't tell them up front, they have the right to refuse giving you insurance. If you want to save a little money, Eliminate the middle man and go directly to the high risk insurance provider yourself. I went to Dairyland.

They'll find out whether you tell them or not.

BTW- you don't live in Central Florida, do you?
