I've lived in this country for 5 years, but my life is isolated from out side. I am Korean and my husband is Korean too. Then, all people around us are Korean, and there is a good formed Korean society in Verginia. As a result, I feel I am still living in Korea. I am shy and a person who do not disturb or bother others. Those reasons prevent me from doing social life. Mostly, my concering is speaking English well and knowing this countries' culture. I want to know if there is any kind of club activity or meeting, so I can meet people naturally and improve speaking skill.

Great place to start is your local college. Take some interest classes there where most students are English speaking.

Look for the Toastmasters organization. It is a club that practices public speaking and may be able to help you. You can look for a local group at www.toastmasters.org

both of the previous answers are good as well as locating an American pen pal that you can communicate with. In addition, look for a Yahoo Group that concentrates in this area.
