The 20GB obviously can hold lots of songs, however... How easy is it to use? The good thing is that maybe you can use the 20GB to store files in it besides your songs.
The 4GB maybe a more known brand, or am I wrong? If it's an iPod, you can be sure it has an excellent quality and it's easy to use. Also, it must be a lot smaller than the 20GB.
Do you have more than 1000 songs? If so, you will need more than 4GB, if not... the 4GB will be fine for you. Personally I have a 4GB iPod nano, which I love.

You should buy by the amount of music you have right now and how much you might in a few years. The 20 gb has a lot memory and if you can watch movies on it, I would personaly buy this one. But the down side of a 20 gb mp3 players is that it has a hard drive like a computer which can become slow and crush after a long period of time or damage. The 4 gb mp3 player on the other hand has flash memory which does not crash and it usually has a higher transfer rate. You should choose the mp3 player depending on how you are going to use it and what you really want, don't just buy the 20 gb mp3 player just because it has memory.
