Depends on the time-
Before 5 wear pastels and girly sweet type of dress..
After 5- black and you can go a little sexier/cocktail look.
The key is to wear something that flatters your body and skin tone.... it could be the most beautiful dress in the store but if it doesn't fit your body correctly then it won't look good. Also you can wear a simple dress and dress it up with jewelry and a fancy hair do!
Have fun and wear comfortable dancing shoes!

It depends on the time of year and location of the wedding. Hate for you to show up in a cute jungle green halter dress and silver shoes if the wedding is outdoors on an October night! If you have dark hair and a tan I would go with a somewhat bright color, yellow, pink, blue. If you have light hair I would go with a deep purple, green, or deep blue. You don't want anything long like a prom dress, something fun, short, cute! Dress it up with a pair of heels and a cute bag!!

Depends on the family...You should always steer clear of anything like the bridesmaids colors and most importantly white.
Macy's usually has a nice dress selection. You can go with knee length as long as it isn't too tight.

I would wear a peach or any pastel color really, but more important is the fit. It has to accent your best attributes and hide your less than perfect areas.
