Nivea Repair and Protect is amazing. I got chapped lips last winter, and I picked Nivea Repair and Protect up in Superdrug in the hope that it would help. Now I wouldn't use anything else. I have sensitive skin, and I have never experienced a reaction to this. I can't wear most lipsticks and glosses, they make my throat tighten, restricting my breathing. Nivea Repair and Protect has never even given me a hint of that, plus it makes your lips look smooth and slightly shiny. The hint of vanilla flavour is yummy too!
Also, try drinking more water to keep your lips hydrated from the inside. Aim for two litres throughout the day.

What I usually do is I use a Chapstick with some sort of SPF in it (since sunblock is so important) and I put it on before I put on my lipgloss/lipstick. It seems to keep my lips moisturized and remain moisturized much much longer than without the chapstick and just the lipgloss/lipstick alone.

There is a certain chapstick from the same name brand that prevents this condition! It's the moisturizing kind. If you have a reallly big problem and it's almost crippling your day, try Carmex. It comes is a little yellow thing and you can get it at Walgreens or most drug stores. I've never seen anything better. Good luck! (PS... you can wear Carmex under lipstick and it won't come off!)

Get a good lip balm. And try to gently brush your lips whenever you're brushing your teeth. This way you can get rid of some dead skin that piles up on the upper surface of your lips.
Lastly, change your lip gloss or lipstick. Maybe it doesn't work well with your skin.

First of all, licking your lips creates more dry skin so try to break this habit. The key to avoiding chapped lips is exfoliating. Take a damp washcloth and lightly rub it across your lips. The skin will eventually slough off in a day or two. After you exfoliate, make sure that you use something to lubricate your lips.

You get chapped lips from being dehydrated in general. Chapstick will temporarily solve the issue but you should consider drinking more water throughout the day.

Well first, you need to wear diffrent lipglosses and lipsticks. Buy a high quality lipstick (I like max factor for lipsticks and maybelline for lipglosses). Next, drink more water (pop does not count as what you need for water every day) and use blistex chapstick in the regular tube every few hours.

Try putting on some original Burt's Bees lipbalm at night and also before brushing your teeth. Sometimes I'll put it on before I put lipstick on. Also, you might try using Burt's Bees lipsticks. The lip products contain peppermint oil which helps your lips heal while keeping them moist.
