hOw do i get a crinkle part of ribbon in a cassette
about a 1/2 inch is in crinkle and doesnt sound right
How do i get a crinkle out?

Put a pencil in each hole. Now carefully heat the tape with a hair dryer while turning the pencils away from each other. Turn to hard and you'll break it. Keep in mind it will never sound perfect, but this will help some.

If you don't have a hair dryer, you can try using a gigarette lighter, but you'll satnd a good chance of making matters worse.

der grosse E 's answer sounds correct, additionally: be carefully and try not to contact the tape with dirty hands or objects, exspecially not with iron e.g. , that may erase the recordings on the cassette. one thing more: you need good luck! :)
