The funniest newspaper comics, and the age old question of which is better. I put my money on Calvin and Hobbes. What do you think and why?

I like both but prefer Calvin and Hobbes. I have the entire Calvin and Hobbes collection, but in the seperate smaller books, not the hardback set.

Absolutely, without a doubt, Calvin and Hobbes. It's intelligent and fun. Calvin makes you wish you could be 6 again. Like when he says to his dad "it's a beautiful day, dad. There won't be too many more days like this this year. Me and Hobbes are gonna make water balloons and play games and lay in the grass. Well, Have a nice day at work. Bye."

I think Garfield, actually. Though Garfield is gluttonous, always picks on John and Opie, and just overall isn't very nice, Garfield still has some humor. It's more of a dry humor than Calvin and Hobbes, however.
Don't get me wrong, I like Calvin and Hobbes more, but just because I like them more doesn't make them funnier.

I like Calvin and Hobbes better because you get more of a reaction out of Calvin whenever something happens. Garfield just kind of sits there or smiles.

Calvin and Hobbes. It's not even a contest. Garfield has lost nearly all of its humor over the years, and I really wish that Jim Davis would just retire already.

Garfield stinks, it has never been funny, not even once.
Calvin and Hobbes is a top 5 all time comic strip. One of the funniest and best drawn strips ever.

Calvin and Hobbes. I believe it is better written, though I have seen a few good Garfield cartoons.

Calvin and Hobbes. I do not know why because I do like Garfield. But I laugh my *** off when I read C & H.

Calvin and Hobbes is funnier, but I still love Garfield.
I want a kid like Calvin, he would be hilarious.
Well, I say that now, but I bet I will have a son like him someday judging from how I was when I was a kid, and then I'll be kicking myself for saying that.

Calvin and Hobbes, without a doubt. Up here, we don't get them, but I have many books and they're extremely funny! Garfield only makes me laugh less than six times a year. It's not that funny.
