I have been taking Zoloft (50mg) for approx 1 year. I put on about 30 lbs. from the drug. I work out at least 3 or 4 days a week, watch what I eat and more.... I cannot lose 1 single pound. I really need my zoloft for anxiety reasons. Any suggestions or similiar experiences?

I gained weight while on Prozac and found Weight Watchers to be an effective program for taking it off. The point system and daily food journal helped me keep track of what I should be eating and the weekly meetings helped me identify with other women and learn about how to deal with situations where I'd be tempted to eat the wrong foods (i.e. parties, vacations, holidays, etc.)

By the way, I believe that Soul Doctor means well.. .but you shouldn't take any homeopathic remedies without consulting your doctor or pharmacist. They can mess with the effectiveness of your Zoloft.

I used Zoloft a couple of years ago. I had worked so hard and lost 60 pounds the 2 years before taking the drug. I was working out and watching what I ate while taking it and I still gained 30 pounds. I went off of it but I was only using it for seasonal distress. Maybe have your doctor change your medication to something else. I heard Wellbutrin was good. Also did it give you a zombie feel?

I used Zoloft for post partum and I gained over 30 lbs on top of what I was trying to loose from baby. I have been off of it for 2 years now and am still trying to get my weight gown. I have only lost a total of 70 lbs (between the baby and the Zoloft I gained 160) just keep trying. It comes off SLOW

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

talk with your doctor about other anti-anxiety drugs which may not have the same effect on weight. your doctor could also suggest a diet which might be effective.
