The Beatles, they knew when to call it quits and because of that will forever be remembered as icons. Besides, The Beatles were so influential that they pretty much paved the way for all the British bands that followed - including the Stones. The Rolling Stones don't know how to call it quits, and also seem to have missed the memo that when you're 60 you shouldn't wear tight T-Shirts that show off your midriff on international TV. They're tarnishing their reputation.

In my opinion, The Rolling Stones. They simply have a gutsier sound than the Beatles ever had.

This is a very hard question, everyone has there opinion. The Beatles were better song writers, but as far as toughness and playing live The Rolling Stones beat them hands down.

The Stones. The have been playing solid rock and roll since the sixties. John Lennon got the Beatles way off track, musically.

For overall variety and great songs, the Beatles. For Chicago blues and rock 'n' roll, the Rolling Stones.

Definitely depends on what you mean. The Beatles constantly expanded their sound and pretty much creating psychedelic music and breaking blues into the mainstream...

But the Rolling Stones definitely educated rock on the nitty-grittiness of the blues. You could say they inspired countless bands they inspired Iggy and The Stooges and Velvet Underground
bands the probably almost singlehandedly created punk music.the sex pistols is just the rollings stones sped-up.the nitty-griity of the stones is what seperates pop-rock of today from the underground alternitive.without the stones we simply wouldn't have punk

Definetly the rolling stones. You cant beat tradition with the betales. The beatle's songs have subliminal messages. Lucy in the sky with diamonds _ LSD (a drug) Yellow submarine _ a pipe with dried bannana leaves ( smokling)

The Beatles were an act of God. All the important elements beautifully fell into musical alignment and the heaven sang. They are one of maybe 5 musical groups or solo artists (of all time) who over the lifetime of their careers continued to grow, inspire and produce quality original music on each and EVERY ALBUM.

In my opinion the Beatles are better. They have better songs, singing, look better (or did when they were all alive) had more number 1 songs. Had a few movies that I loved.
